Whiteface Mountain Ski and Mountain Biking Center
Whiteface Mountain, which featured the 1980 Winter Olympic downhill ski competition, has blossomed into a 3-season attraction. Whiteface offers the finest skiing in the East. Whiteface was voted Number 1 in the East by SKI Magazine and a top 10 favorite for a family resort by CHILD Magazine. During summer and fall, take in a Gondola Ride to the top of Little Whiteface, visit the Mountain Bike center and gain access to scenic trails, or spend the day on the Stag Brook Falls Hiking Trail.

High Falls Gorge
Here, under the shadows of Whiteface Mountain, you can capture the Ausable River as it explodes into deep crevices in its 700-foot journey through ancient granite cliffs, formed over a billion years ago by the forces of ice, water and wind. Modern bridges, walkways and groomed paths provide safe access for all ages to breathtaking views and photographic vantage points.
Tubing at Mount Pisgah
Two banked 500-foot parallel runs with a handle tow lift for an easy ride up. Nite tubing on fridays.
Au Sable River Fly Fishing
East and West branches of the legendary Au Sable River offers the finest trout fly-fishing in the East and features a five-mile special "No-Kill" section. This region also offers fishing for salmon, pike and bass in nearby streams and lakes. Whiteface Memorial Veteran's Memorial Highway
A scenic 8-mile drive to the summit of Whiteface Mountain, the Veteran's Memorial Highway is open May through October. On a clear day, the summit offers 90-mile views of Lake Placid, the Adirondack High Peaks, Vermont & Canada.

Adirondack Park Visitor Interpretive Centers
Marked nature trails, wildlife and ecological information, presentations and interactive displays. Free snowshoes to borrow for park trails only. Dogs not allowed in the winter.
The Wild Center is a natural history museum of the Adirondacks. The Museum is set on a 31-acre campus with trails that serve as outdoor exhibits. There are theaters with high definition films, plenty of hands-on nature, and hundreds of live animals from rare native trout, to river otters, to turtles the size of walnuts and many other often hard-to-see residents of the woods and waters....Come explore the Wild Outdoors.
Emerald Springs Ranch
Small family style Quarter Horse ranch and cater to small family groups wishing to enjoy an hour or so of relaxing trail riding.
Bark Eater Inn, Horseback riding & Sleigh rides
20 km of XC and snowshoeing trails through thte meadows and woodlands of a former working farm. This former stagecoach stop has been restored as a country inn with food and lodging. Horseback riding all year long.
Cascade Cross Country Ski Center
20 km of groomed trails, connecting to the Verizon Sports Complex and Jackrabbit Trail systems. Rentals: snowshoes, backcountry and telemark skis. Full Moon Parties with Entertainment.
Dewey Mountain XC Ski Center
15 km of groomed cross-country ski trails with some snowshoe trails. 5 km of night skiing, warming cabin, lessons, self-guided nature walks, family races. Dogs allowed on Mondays.
Lake Placid Snowmobiling
12- mile scenic snowmobile tours. Ride through tree farms and pine forests. Dinner rides, groups, families.
One to six-hour tours. All rides tailored to fit your ability and desires from a slow scenic tour in the woods to a more aggressive ride on groomed trails. Group tours available. Reservations required.

Tour the wilderness by air. 20-minute scenic flights over the High Peaks & Whiteface Mountain.
Adirondack Rock and River Guide Service
Guiding/Instruction: rock/ice climbing, winter mountaineering and hiking. On-site facilities: indoor 30-foor-high rock chimnet made of stone and a 40-foot-high outdoor ice wall with ice lines, fire ring, viewing benches and night lights.
